Each item listed on the calendar can be left-clicked on with your mouse — a box will appear with details on that listing, such as time and location. Within the box, at the bottom left, is a link to <more details>. Here you can find additional information — such as a description of the topic for a forum or details on a study group. When events take place away from St. Andrew's, a link is provided to a map showing the location.
Sundays have special information boxes. The gold box marked “schedules” is a link to the service schedule for that particular Sunday. The purple boxes contain the lectionary readings for the Sunday Eucharist. Lectionary readings for Holy Days, such as Good Friday, also appear on the calendar. National holidays appear in red boxes.
When you open the site you'll find a view of the current month's calendar. Using the tabs at the upper right of the calendar you can choose <week> to see only this week's events or <agenda> to see only today's schedule. A quick click on <month> will bring you back to the original, full-month page. Using the arrow tabs at the top left of any view, agenda, week or month, you can travel forward or backward in time.
Information on the calendar comes from a master version kept by the Parish Office. The calendar updates itself when changes are made — such as a switch in the serving schedule. This enables us to show accurate information about what's happening at the church throughout the month.
If you prefer to have a paper copy of the calendar, the print icon located at the top right will format the calendar onto an 8 x 11½ page for you.
We want the online calendar to be a place where parish members can quickly find all the information they need to participate in a full range of activities at St. Andrew's. As always, questions and comments are encouraged — just e-mail the parish office, parishoffice3 at gmail dot com or maraelliott at verizon dot net.
