Monday
Morning Bible Study
Next Monday, May 17th,
Reverend Mary will begin a new Monday morning Bible Study on the Book of
Isaiah. All are welcome - the study begins at 11 a.m. and meets in the
Gerber Library.
Food Drive a Smash Success!
The Mothers Day Food Drive concluded
yesterday in a big way! Over fifty bags stuffed with groceries were
brought in to the church; monetary donations were also placed in the
offertory. The food and money collected will go to the FOCUS Food Pantry
to be distributed to area families in need. Thank you to all who
donated in honor of their mothers!
Acolytes Needed
You don't
have to be a teenager to be an acolyte! Adults of all ages are
encouraged to join this important ministry and lend a hand on Sundays at
the altar. Custom training and semi-custom-fit robes will be provided.
If you are interested, please speak to Reverend Mary, Lynn Nally or Rich
Angelo.
Beautiful
Music
The children
of the parish wowed the crowd yesterday with lovely singing at the
Mothers Day Recital. Thanks go out to Bailey and Connor Grugan, Kaelin
Bray, Sumahri Stewart and Arianah Moore who sang charmingly together.
Special thanks goes to Caroline Gregg who sang two solo pieces. Parish
members are invited to hear more of Caroline's lovely singing; she will
perform in recital Sunday May 16th at 6:30 p.m. in Kiggins Hall at Emma
Willard school.
A Place to Pray
The Prayer
Team Ministry has been praying at the back of the church with
individuals during communion for several months now. Space at the back
of the church is tight and the Vestry is considering proposals to create
a space where prayer can take place undisturbed. One proposal is
to remove several of the short pews at the rear right side of the
church. Comments are requested (two have been made so far). The matter
will be discussed at the May 17 Vestry meeting.
