Newcomers Brunch
EVERYONE
is welcome as we “officially” welcome the newest members of our parish
family by celebrating with a pot luck meal immediately following the
10am service. Please bring a salad, main dish or dessert to share while
you enjoy some time to meet the newest faces of our parish. Contact
Chris Lillpopp (261-1619) for details on how you can help with this
event.
Hand to Work,
Hearts to God -
Have you ever
wished to join an old-fashioned sewing circle? Thought a quilting bee
sounded like a fun time? Come put your hands to work with friends from
St. Andrew's! Help is needed to repair the frontals which hang on the
high altar. Others may wish to bring work from home or simply to come
and enjoy the time with friends. The group will meet Saturday mornings
during Lent from 9:30 am until Noon, continuing this Saturday.
Stations of
the Cross
Each Friday
evening during Lent there will be a Stations of the Cross prayer
service. Since the time of the early church Christians have recreated
Jesus' journey carrying the cross using images and prayers as a form of
Lenten devotion. All are invited to come once or weekly to experience
this special form of prayer. The service begins at 5:30 p.m.
Spring Clean-up
Join the Altar
Guild and Facilities Committee as they prepare the church for Holy
Week! Saturday March 27 we will polish and shine, sweep and tidy as we
do spring cleaning at St. Andrew's. Work will start at 9:30 and end
about 12:30 - workers are welcome to pitch in for all or part of that
time.
Congratulations!
Dr. Joseph
Eppink and the St. Andrew's Choir deserve a hearty round of applause for
the excellent job they did yesterday afternoon at this year's first
Russell Field concert. The Chancel Choir performed beautifully alone
and with the other choirs in the joint performance of Stabat
Mater.
